Steve Spurrier might moonlight as a troll in season, but with no football to coach in July, it’s now become a full-time thing.

Spurrier’s latest trollface-turned-viral-sensation came during a conversation with Nick Saban on “College Football Live” Tuesday, in which Saban was asked how he “sells playing time to recruits.” Spurrier couldn’t let that word choice go unnoticed.



Naturally, the question was the result of a more covert Spurrier troll job. In the months prior, Spurrier publicly wondered if Saban “maxed out” in terms of recruiting, winning only two SEC titles in seven seasons despite routinely reeling in the best recruits.

We always knew Spurrier had a passing resemblance to someone, just couldn’t place it until now.

Everybody trolls. Or everybody that wants to have a little fun here and there. Realistically, Spurrier is the king of goofy faces. Always will be.
