🏈 Applying pressure on opposing QBs

This may have already been asked but here goes....

Will Bama be able to pressure the opposing QB (without using an all out blitz) on a consistent basis this year?

Is Saban moving someone else to the "Jack" position for this very reason?

This has been a problem for a few years now and pressure really helps DB's out.

I'm curious about the same thing. With Fanney out, maybe, will Hightower be able to generate a pass rush? That will definitely help out the DBs in pass coverage. Pressure on the QB is a must that we lacked severely in the Sugar Bowl.

I am asuming Hightower or Upshaw will take over that Jack position. And Cody has lost more weight and is working hard and his goal is to be able to put pressure on the QB up the middle. If you look back most passing yards came over the middle against us because of no pressure flushing the QB out of the pocket. Cody's reason for coming back another season is that he wants to be in the game on passing downs as well and prove he can collapse that pocket i the middle.

If he can play those downs and push middle, we will see a much better pass rush from the OLB's and tackles. Hope this is the case. Pass rush has hurt us for more than just the last few years.

We haven't had a pass rush in years, hopefully Donta and whoever is at the Jack can get to the QB, esp. if Cody can still take on two OL. I had heard that Fanney was trying to get back on the team. Has anyone else heard of this?

I have heard this as well. The version that I heard was that he would be allowed back, but would serve a multi game suspension.
