šŸˆ AP still got Bama at ten!

Also, who did we beat yesterday? A 5-6 (at the time) team. And by only 1 score. According to the rankings and the records, we should've beaten them by at LEAST 3 scores, if not more.

Nobody beat them like that this season. UGA won by 10. All the other ranked teams won by 6 or 7, and some of those were not at auburn. Terry can correct me but I think the line yesterday closed at 6.5 or 7.

Only one team in the top 10 lost and that team was #3. You don’t fall out of the top 10 with a single loss.
I believe everyone gets that to a certain extent. But when you consider SOS, A n M doesnt stack up. Easiest SEC schedule. The win over Notte Dame carries a lot of weight because of Rockne, 4 Horsemen etc. šŸ˜€

Remember that this isn't the CFP rankings. I'm sure that SOS will come up next week as they vote on the final CFP rankings. Yes, the committee looks at the AP and Coaches Polls for the first few weeks, but the final rankings will be scrutinized every whichaway.

Beating the Barn has never helped Bama. They are who they are and that does not elicit a respectable win typically. Yes I have crimson glasses on but it is true more times that not which is why I have always held the position that it would not bother me if we never played them again.

Nothing to gain and everything to lose…..does nothing for resume.

But sure feels good to have a 6 game winning streak over them...with game 7 at BD...
And them with another "shot in dark" g5 coach.

And they did this to themselves. Firing Malzhan .... and their hires.
It is a program in total crumble ..... couldnt even hire a splash for hc....

Hired a "settle for". Thats even better. This is as sweet as Tennessee going through their stupid shit...

During all that time, they were basically looking for someone who could consistently beat Nick Saban. They wanted someone to do to Saban what Tuberville did to Shula. It was a lofty goal, I'll give them that. But to get someone to consistently beat THAT particular coach was a fools errand. And now, they're trying to do the same thing with a lower-tier (in school caliber, not ability) coach. He's been a head coach for only 3 years. They should've thrown the bank at Kiffin. He would've given them a better shot at winning a lot more, imo. Not taking anything away from Golesh (Side note: He's from Russia, born in Moscow...did not know that). I hope he does well there, except in their final regular season game.

FWIW, They tried that last time and failed, and now Kiffin's price is even higher... they'd have had no shot. First, he wouldn't take an incentive based deal like Golesh did, they'd be forking over $13 per year (plus incentives). And then you have to pay his staff, which is going to be right there among the top paid staff in CFB. Finally, you have to meet and guarantee his NIL demands which again will be near the top in CFB. Above all that, this cycle anyway, bot Florida and LSU are still better jobs in other ways.
