šŸˆ AP poll going into week four: I can't say I've ever seen this much shake-up with teams winning.

Just glance at the top 15 here for this example. Now, within the top 25 four teams lost this past weekend. Within the top 15, only one loss with LSU. But, every team outside of Auburn and Bama find themselves in a different spot this week with six teams falling after winning.

I agree. It makes me laugh that all of a sudden you hear all of these talking heads start saying how Clemson is the best team in the country. I don't think we are right now but I don't know that Clemson is either. I think they have given Clemson so much credit for squeaking by Auburn and beating up on Louisville that they haven't even considered that Auburn might not be very good and that Louisville is crazy overrated.

I think Clemson has good talent and a great scheme for their talent. I think we have great talent and are adjusting our scheme. Both of us are really good but I don't know that we are the best right now and until about week 5 or so I don't think we can know. To me Oklahoma has one of the more impressive wins and looks great, Penn State finished strong last year and look to have most of their team back but we have to let it play out.

These AP voters need to just settle down some and not buy into their own BS too much. Teams in the top 5 this early who keep winning probably just keep them where they are until the real season starts.

Sportscenter AM had Trevor Matich on this morning talking about Clemson. It was his contention Kelly Bryant is a far better QB that Watson based on two plays where he ran between the tackles. Matich: "Watson never did that. He wasn't big enough, or tough enough, to run inside." (paraphrased, a bit)

My issue? I saw Watson run up the middle, on more than one occasion, in just about every game I watched with him under center.

My question to Trevor? Where were you last season, or the year before?

Yep that is one of the problems right now. These guys have to sell what is new and how it's better because that is what they think keeps the crowd plugged in. The problem is that they start "buying their own Con" and believe it to be the gospel truth. He has completely wiped all memory of what Deshaun did over the last two years because what he has been told to sell now is Bryant and how he is a more physical runner.

It's the narrative that Clemson has told ESPN to sell so they can try to move on from the best player in their history you know.. "this new guy is just like Watson but faster and stronger". Teams including us have done this for years like "Scarborough is like a Henry clone but he is faster" These talking heads are now just buying into it more.

Yep Deshaun wasn't a physical runner.. that wasn't him that got "helicoptered" trying to stretch for the first down in the championship game last year.. it was just a figment of everyone's imagination..lol

No better example of that than Stidham these past few months.

I know there were a lot that said, "he's never faced a SEC defense." True. Very true. But, that never was my first thought with Auburn or Stidham. (And this opinion wasn't really shaped by the JFII or JJ hype.)

Take that kid out of Texas that led the NCAA in rushing yards last year ... Freeman, Foreman, something like that ... over 2000K on the ground last year. Now, put him on Texas Tech and their pass happy offense. Are the Raiders now considered contenders for the Big12-2? No, two different offenses/schemes.

That doesn't make sense, does it?

So, if that doesn't make sense, how the hell do people take a QB from Baylor ... put him in a completely different offense and expect his new team to be national contenders? Seriously, Coker from FSU to Bama is a kid going from a Pro-Style attack to a Pro-Style attack. What does the scheme at Baylor and the scheme at Auburn have in common?
