Saban is currently 39-5 in games when the Tide is No. 1. Bowden was 40-5 with Florida State as No. 1. Hayes went 40-6 with Ohio State. The difference? Bowden coached Florida State for 34 seasons. Hayes was at Ohio State for 28 years. Saban is in his 10th season with the Crimson Tide.

Alabama has been ranked No. 1 in 35 percent of its 124 games coached by Saban. Florida State was No. 1 in 10.8 percent of the 417 games Bowden coaches. Ohio State was No. 1 in 16.7 percent of the 276 games Hayes coached.​

saturday, after the game, a good friend of mine texted me and said,

"we should be amazed at how BAMA keeps doing this. it's like living a dream."

and i must say, that i truly am amazed at what this team and coaching staff is doing with our beloved program.

i responded by saying,

"well, if it is a dream, don't wake me up."

and i mean it.

i know one day this will all end, as it always does for every program that experiences highs such as this. i'm not looking forward to it, but i do believe that we're all prepared for it due to what we all went through, as fans, during the late '90s and early-mid 2000s.

sports is an ebb and flow. it rises and falls just like anything else in life. we all know this, we've all experienced this (well, those old enough, anyway, lol). for me, it helps to keep me grounded and in check with reality.

but i swear, the times we're in right now seem like something out of some crazy dream. what Coach Saban has done with our program has been nothing short of astounding. i don't want it to end, even though i know, one day, it will.

but for now, i'm just gonna continue to ride this thing to the end and enjoy all that we have right now.

Well think about us that also had Coach Bryant. Some schools only may get one but look at Alabama history. Look at the different one that won that MNC.

Incredible run to say the least. I don't know what most of us will do when it's over. All I can say is to enjoy the ride. my family in Athens would kill for an SEC title and a hundred times worse for a Natty.
