Seems every week the Alabama-Texas game comes up and the lady named Michelle Beadle says she doesn't count it as a win since Colt got hurt. I wonder if I should tell her that one of our All American linebackers named Donte Hightower was basically out the whole year and the team stepped up and took control :a:

She can whine all she wants. Our QB played with cracked ribs. Their back-up played better than their starter anyway. Look at McCoy's performance just one game earlier - he nearly cost them the Nebraska game at the end and played poorly all game. He has shown that he can make big mistakes against extreme top tier defenses that commit to pressure instead of nickels and dimes like ours - they just didn't play much against such defenses till Nebraska came in and committed to pressure. In addition, we knock out McCoy and go into the half with a huge lead and look at how we came out in the 3rd - we thought the game was over. It basically took us over a quarter to get back on track after coming out thinking it was won already.

Lamaar Houston was talking similar crap to Rolando at Raiders mini-camp earlier this summer. He said if they had more time they would have won. Well, duh, I guess so - if you had a few years to put together a better team... Games ebb and flow. They had big mo' in the 1st, we ran away with it in the 2nd. We thought we had the game won and lost all momentum in the 3rd and into the 4th. All it takes is one big play to gain it back and that's what happened and that's why we won by the margin we did. We had all the momentum at the end. If there was more time, it is more likely we would have won by a larger margin rather than the other way around.

Look, injuries are part of the game and there is no asterisk in the record books. Shoulda, woulda, coulda - speculate all day long; ain't gonna change what has already come to pass. Those UTw fans are nothing but whiners with no grace in losing. Look at our Utah loss. We were missing Andre and we were seriously smarting with a major let-down after the Florida loss. We could have whined and whined about all the mitigating circumstances about that Utah game. But I have not heard any Bama fans making excuses and whining. Utah spanked us good in that game and they deserved to win. In fact, I - like many others - have become a real Utah fan as a result of that game and their fans were class acts.

We're going to have to change the UTw team name from LongHORNS to LongWHINERS.

I would ask her if she counts the win over OU? Bradford got hurt early in that one, and didn't play the rest of the season.

It is so stupid to say that game should have an asterisk, Colt McCoy's injury didn't effect Texas's defense to give up two 100 yard performances by Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson. Didn't Texas have the number 1 ranked run defense? Big 12 doesn't run the ball, SEC is the top dog in all NCAA. Anyway, at least Michele is nice to look at....

You guys forget how the red river shootout played out. One could argue Texas wouldn't have been in the MNC game. Then again look at our Tenn or Auburn game.
