📝 Any word on DT Darius Page out of Miami?

Saw a tweet earlier about DT Darius Page commiting to the TIDE today. Kid is 6'4" 285lbs. 24/7 Sports has him ranked 3stars and 88 out of 100 points. He seems to me that he may be like the Lake kid we just signed this past class, ie, under the radar. Another one of CNS "diamonds in the rough"!

Tide lands commitment from Pensacola lineman Darius Paige

Alabama landed its second football commitment of the week on Saturday when Pensacola, Florida defensive tackle Darius Paige pledged to play for the Crimson Tide, according to a report from BamaOnline. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound star for Washington Senior is rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports.



"I committed to Alabama," Paige told BamaOnline. "The reason why I decided to commit to them is they'll stick with me, they have a good winning program, and it's kind of close to home."


Paige also said he plans to attend one of the Crimson Tide's camps this summer. Paige chose Alabama over offers from UConn, Kentucky and Louisville, among others.


As a junior at Washington High School, Paige registered 97 tackles, including 32 tackles for loss, along with three sacks and three forced fumbles.

"Out of left field." That was my reaction when I heard we received his verbal.

I told Howard yesterday the only reason I even knew his name is because of the last name of the player he visited with during Jr. Days; Funderburk. I wondered if he was any kin to the kid that just left Arkansas (WR) to return home to VA. There was a Funderburk who was Philip Sims "go to receiver" in high school who had committed to the 'Backs.

My second thought? I wonder if they are thinking about moving him, already, to the offensive line in a G slot.

Kid looks like a grown man already! I was surprised as well Terry. I hadn't even heard much about him at all. Good pick up!! Watching the clip, one word comes to mind; EXPLOSIVE!!
