There's actually one close to our hotel. I remember eating at one in LA years ago. At the time I thought it was similar to Steak N Shake but with better fries. Haven't had Animal Style but I looked it up and I'm definitely going to try that one! Thanks!

They have Freddy's steak burgers there. They are delicious. It's like a burger is supposed to be.

I would also recommend driving up to Sedona if you have a spare day. Its about 1:30 to 2 hours from the Phoenix area depending on where you are. Very awesome scenery up there.

Ditto! Definitely worth a trip while you're out there.

When I travel I almost always eat at local eatery's, I generally stay away from chain restuarants. I've only been to the Phoenix area one time, back in 1995 after a hike in the Grand Canyon. I got nothing for ya.

I've reached out to a friend who lives there, I'll report back on what he says.

Flagstaff about 30 minutes north of Sedona if you Like Ponderosa Pines , snow and a ski resort. The drive from Glendale through Sedona to Flagstaff is amazing and the elevation continues to climb up to around 7,000 ft in Flagstaff. Terrain features continue to change in elevation on the drive. Been there several times as I have a son and daughter in law stationed at Luke AFB.

You might think your back in Alabama when you get there. Lol. Last time I was out there, there were a lot off cotton fields around West Gate mall and Phoenix Stadium. You would not think you would see cotton growing in the dessert.

Just heard back from my buddy, here is what he said.

I would have them eat at Barrio Queen in old town Scottsdale and The mission in old town Scottsdale. Great mexican places. Go and have some fun at top golf. They have locators in the balls and it is a driving range with food. Definitely go to Sedona and do a pink jeep tour. There is pizzeria Bianca downtown. Hike south mountain preserve. Go and see Taliesin West - Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture school. There are tours. This is in Scottsdale. Interesting place. Go and see the musical instrument's museum, the desert botanical garden is great as well.
