@sk33tr made a joke the other day about people arguing about the etymology of the word "tinhorn / tin horn."
I'm going to bastardize the word for a minute here in the form of a question ...
How many of you guys have looked at the etymology of the articles/story here? It's laid out within the thread, how this "started," and there's some very key words that no one seems to have noticed. The original article in itself falls apart from the very beginning.
Dodd grabs it, Carvell grabs it ... how many others have ... but
don't mention some things that left me shaking my head.
Set aside Saban and look at what Jones says about Miles.
āItās very real,ā Jones said of the Miles hot-seat rumors. āIt was leaked. Only four or five people are aware of whatās going on with Les Miles at LSU. It was put out there on purpose, the fact that heās in trouble.ā
Come on now. Jones is number six? Is there discontent in Baton Rouge? Errr...the ENTIRE fan base of college football knows the answer to that one.
Another. When is the last time you heard something from the New York desk for CBS's coverage of college football that was actually up to date on what was going on with a program? Shit. This is the same guy talking about how maligned the Alabama secondary was when they were ranked in the top 10 in defensive efficiency and had just come off of a game with how many pick-6's?
Yeah. And let's not leave this alone for a minute ... when Jones starts talking about Texas, it's "my Texas."
