I found this little excerpt from the article amusing:

Two-time Big Ten championship game MVP Connor Cook made his third career appearance on the Dan Patrick Show without too much fuss created. Patrick asked Cook how MSU would feel if Alabama said it wanted to play the Spartans. "We'd embrace it, we'd like it, if they were calling us out, that would provide a little bit of extra motivation for us. We'd be like, 'They want to play us, then we'll do everything we can to take you guys down.' "

We've seen some of the Sparty players having some fun with this game and the pre-game talk: IE: "Henry going to get hit harder than he's been hit before..." and a few other comments that were akin.
