🏈 An eye on Michigan State ...

They have come a long way from the last time we played them and are not to be taken lightly. We will need to start from the beginning and play to the very end. They have a good D and not too bad of an offense either.
From a statistical standpoint, the MSU O and D are practically identical when comparing '10 to '15. Opponents wins and losses mirror each other as well.

They have played more ranked teams this season and they are averaging a few more points per game.

About the only "gauge" I can see is common opponents with Wisky.

You're being a little naive if you think we will wear them down like everyone else because Dantonio has tried to emulate CNS plan and/or process. They have come a long way from the last time we played them and are not to be taken lightly. We will need to start from the beginning and play to the very end. They have a good D and not too bad of an offense either. They don't have our talent but they are coached well. We certainly have to bring our A game.

We have worn down every team we have played and we have played some very good teams. We also went on a stretch no one else in the country went on with no rest and we still wore teams down. Cochran dialed this team in long before the season started. Our conditioning is going to win us a Championship. No one we have faced has been able to maintain it for four quarters, not even Ole Miss. I don't think Michigan State, Oklahoma, or Clemson can either. I'm not naive, because I have even said Michigan State will pose more of a challenge in past posts, but I still don't think they are conditioned better than us and haven't played a team like us all year, not even Ohio State.

The key to us winning this game and the final is... DH staying healthy. I'm very confident we can and will beat all 4 teams with a healthy Henry. Without him, I have very little confidence in our scoring many points.

We've had a good year this year avoiding significant injuries to key folks. I pray it continues. And I pray we take advantage of it while we've got it.

I think if Connor Cook has his "Garcia game" they can win. Otherwise, the force with them is not.

This, in my opinion, is the key. They will play inspired, which we all know, doesn't last long and we will wear them down, but ole miss shouldn't have beat us either but they did. All I'm saying is that we have to play a full 60 minutes, not 45.

He really needs a couple more targets to throw to...

I heard on ESPN that Michigan State likes to rotate their offensive line to keep them fresh? Any truth? I would love to see them rotate in a freshman and try to block Jarren Reed on a bull rush.

Both here; some truth and some hyperbole.

MSU has rotated 10 this season on the offensive line. They were forced to do so due to injuries along the line. Their rotation hasn't been to keep guys fresh, it's been to keep enough players on the line.

It'll certainly help but any notion that they've done this intentionally is a stretch.

@TerryP is 100% correct. I manage a 35 mil a year convenient/gas station/ laundromat store and most of my patrons are MSU fans. I spoke with several that I like and vice versa and they said the same. It was out of necessity not fatigue.
