An All-SEC Final Is the Latest Obstacle to Expanding the College Football Playoff

The major conferences want a bigger playoff format to generate more money. Blowout wins by Alabama and Georgia show how hard it is to find two title-worthy teams.

Adding more teams won’t accomplish what the proponents want but one thing it’s going to do is create more opportunities for draft eligible players to get hurt. In my opinion 15 games is more than enough for college players. So, either cut two or three of the regular season games (depending on the number of playoff teams added) something which will cost non-playoff teams a lot of money or leave it at four teams.
