As a vet...600+ days inVN....my opinion
People have the right to protest....
They have the riht to be disrespectful
They have this right to do what ever they want..
Because America provides thos right....strange..yea....but it is what it is...
And people haventhe right to be angry....
Owners have the right to not sign players that dont fit their values...
The POTUS should have stayed out of this....Love him or hat him...
This isnt an issue for that level of government....
And now the hornets are stirred up big time...
Damn...damn..damn

Well said. People may not like it, but they're expressing the very rights the flag represents and the military has fought for. If people don't like it, then they have the right to tune out (just as the above poster says she'll do (although I have no idea how these protests are on "her dime", whatever that means)).

She is a he there Cuntalingis. And I pay for TV to come into my house, which is part of how the team makes money, who pays their salary.. by refusing to watch it I am not sharing my dime.

I know the photo may throw you off but that is the stripper that Mike price ruined his career over. her name is Destiny. My user name is Destiny's Child as a reference to Mike Price and destiny's potential to have a love child. There was also a singing group named that so it just seemed like a funny play on words like Colonel Angus but yes I am a guy..lol

PS. "it's rolling baby" is reportedly what was being yelled out during their night of passion

I mean... I honestly shouldn't even jump in this convo cause we all know I'm not going to have the same opinions as just about anyone here and its going to become an argument...

I have no issue with the protests, it's a peaceful protest. If you don't like you also have the right to say so but the absolute hate and vitriol I have seen from people over this is just flat out insane. I have actually seen people saying that those players should be "hung." Alabama fans were saying "F Mark Ingram" and calling him "shameful." People grow up.

And you can 100% thank Donald Trump for this blowing up as much as it did over the weekend. Before he opened his big mouth it wasn't near this level. Then, he decided to violate federal law by calling for NFL owners to fire those that do it and then he goes after rules in football being too soft (as if that has ANYTHING to do with this subject). I find it very ironic that the same whiny people I see and hear saying "stick to football" to the players aren't also screaming "stick to lying" about Trump.

I do agree with you on that one. Thanks the Trumple-thinskin and his damn twitter account, which someone should hack and change the password so he'll stay off it (try that for one week, Mr. President...One week!), this issue has been completely blown up. Yes, I am pissed off as many other people about this, but all he did was throw a 55-barrel drum of jet fuel over a small campfire.

People are the worst.

I served 30 years in Air Force Special Operations to give people the freedom to speak what they believe in. When I see someone disrespect my flag and country, it makes me mad as hell. But I believe they have a "right" to do it. I also have a right to make sure not a single dime of my money ever makes it to the NFL. I should warn you however, if I ever see you burning my flag, this 67 year old man is going to try to kick your ass!

While I thank you for your service and I respect you. You do understand that if you attack someone for burning a flag, you will be the one that gets arrested.

I'll reiterate what's been said by a few already: I think the guys kneeling, raising fists, stretching, etc. are A#1 assholes but it's their right (although an employer could hold them to it if he/she chose) and I don't care. I also think that the origin of this whole thing is garbage but if you want to find justification in a false narrative guess what...you can do that too. Trump needs to STFU and tend to things that a president needs to be involved in. There are plenty. I love football and I love the NFL and I'll keep watching because I don't give one single fuck what one single player in the league thinks about anything outside of football. I, like many others, volunteered once for something much bigger than myself and these pricks disrespecting the symbol of that pisses me off but at least it lets me know what company to keep.

I will absolutely use somebody a$$ to put out the burning flag with and then beat them until i feel better.

Has anyone considering that the POTUS is probably doing a slight of hand move on all of us...he's probably playing everyone like a fiddle.

Another thing that occurred to me, those who get upset about being disrespectful to the military. I wonder what the do on Veterans Day or Memorial Day to remember the Vets and those who've fallen...

That's exactly what Trump is doing. Nearly all, if not all, his crap his calculated. He's doing a great job in dividing everyone, however. I hope his master plan includes a way of rectifying that.

He's not that smart. Although I suppose he is smart enough to get four deferments from Vietnam and years later convince a certain segment of his base that he's a true patriot. Some people will believe anything though.

And make hundreds of millions of dollars, out smart a bunch of people who get elected for a living and get the economy moving.

He also needs to stop drunk texting and just shave his damn head.

:rolf: Oh please, wtf has he done to "get the economy moving" (an economy thats been on an upswing for like six years mind you). :eyeroll: And I'm pretty sure that even me or you could "make hundreds of millions of dollars" if we were handed hundreds of millions of dollars from our daddies and then refused to pay people for work they did, scammed thousands out of money, etc....
