🏈 GAME THREAD 🏈🏆 Alabama Football Falls to Georgia in the CFP National Championship Game, 33-18

Well, all props to UGA for winning. They were the better team tonight. I'd like to make excuses.....like not having Metchie, Williams for most of the game, and other stuff, but I won't. They just wanted it more.

And the officiating was a bit suspect at times. Some missed calls on both sides, from what I saw. But some of them would have changed the game. Like some pass interference non-calls. Also, what was up with using an ACC crew? Why not an SEC crew since it was an all SEC game?

Gave up 27 2nd half points. So now we’ve had 2 beat downs in championship games.
I can take a beat down, I really can. I just don't like it when the guys give up.....which they didn't, tonight. They played to the end, and I'm proud of them for that. I'd much rather have a win, though. But it is what it is. See y'all next season, hopefully in Atlanta for a little revenge.

Dude, that's anybody. We run the ball inaide the 10 this is a different game. His line is hurt. It was a tough ask for anyone.

"Generational talent" isn't just "anybody." Heisman winners aren't just "anybody." How would running inside the 10 have changed anything? Alabama averaged about 2 yards per carry, do you think the offensive line was going to magically not suck inside the 10? We knew this game was going to be on Bryce and he showed that if he doesn't have the elite receivers to throw to what happens. All we've heard all year was how unshakeable he is and "ice in his veins" and all that yet he was throwing a fit on the sideline after multiple drives because of incompetence from him, the line, the receivers, the playcalling. Don't get me wrong, this was a total team effort of a loss, though.
