🏈 GAME THREAD 🏈 Wisconsin - 14 vs Alabama - 38 (Post game press conference on page 9.)

Does anyone have video/photo of the unsportsmanlike “running into the official” on the sideline?
ABC/ESPN are too concerned with showing tight shots of the coach or people in the stands - or letting Joey have diarrhea of the mouth about something unimportant.
Lord, how I miss CBS. They would have shown multiple replays of the foul.

It was a special teams guy; holder for x-pts. I can't think of his name. The box and flags were a point of emphasis before the season started.
Players in the coaches box during live action is a big no no! Now, Lord forbid the official run into the box and hit someone. He will still flag the sideline.
I actually had an official run into me while I was in the coaches box during a sudden change of possession. We had intercepted a pass and the old “3rd base coach” in me was giving the windmill motion and yelling BINGO!! BINGO!! BINGO!!!! I felt my elbow hit something and I turned to our players. I then turned to another coach and asked, “what did I hit?” He pointed to the official laid out on the field. My elbow caught him in the temple and knocked his ass out cold!!! When he came to, he told me he had officiated football for 15 years and had NEVER been hit that hard.

I know.

And I still think, "the kid got excited."

We talk about the "Bama Standard." He didn't pull a Dickie Maegle. So, therefore, he's okay in every book or rule. (I could have said that differently.)

They have to fly to maintain qualifications. What does it hurt to get some advertisement in as well?
A little more in depth. It's definitely linked to training exercises. It's not as simple as some who criticize.

IE: The anthem starts at 12:03. If someone is singing it's going to take longer: if it's just the band? It's less than 1:30 in length. So, the pilots have to be at a stadium, within a span of a few seconds, to coincide with the end of the anthem and all that goes with that.

It's easy to translate into a lot of different military exercises on the battlefield.

Crazily enough, I almost made a thread on the other forum about T-38's. It was just after nine yesterday morning I heard the first jets. Two, then four, then six, then eight and it got me curious. "Why is there so much activity with the F-15's and F-16's? I haven't seen or heard about any F-35's at the base."

Around noon I saw them. It was training. But they were all T-38's. I'd guess I heard them more than three dozen times. When they are "getting it" they are loud!

We have hunting property in Perry County, about 10 miles from Centerville and Marion, down Highway 5. During the season, you can hear them ripping and roaring

You can tell the time of day by the plane traffic here. It's not the noise; it's the planes.

90 percent of the time I spend the first couple of hours of my work day outside. When I don't see the C-17's or 141's? It's past 4 AM. It's pretty wild.

Literally. If planes aren't coming in from the NW of my house? It's a weather alert. I don't hear them. I don't see them either.

Yesterday's Georgia-Tennessee game had me thinking about this guy. RIP BVD.

And just a warning for the people on here that do not like vulgar language.... there's a lot in this video, lol.

My wife and I always laugh really hard at this. I don't know his wife, haven't seen her picture, but by her voice she makes me think overweight white lady smoking a cigarrette on a electric cart at Walmart. When she says "yeah, if they can keep fat ass Cody out of there", it has me rolling every time. The irony for one, but just how she says it gets us every time.

So he's dead, the guy in this video?

Lol.

And sadly, yes. He died last year.
