Shanahan said it's possible Purdy may miss a few weeks. He's missing this weekend and Mac was QB1 in practice yesterday.

The issue I have here is the quarterback wins no matter what and a defender is in a terrible position. Smash him, flag thrown, but then come in light and the quarterback decides to lower his shoulder for the first time in two years and you get made fun of.

Would be helpful if he had Kittle out there... But the 49'ers is where he should have been from the start. At least he'd have had a cleaner chance for a nice career.

It's how I want to see the next chapter in his story.

Purdy didn't sit right with me when he was being recruited out of high school. That's something I'll have to put together in my head...can't remember how that went, ya know? So, some bias.

But it's more the story of Mac and his career.
