🏈 🏈 Bama In The NFL - 2025-26 Season Updates & Highlights

New season upcoming, new thread to follow along on the Bama guys... Might as well start it off with this news...

This is dumb.

I don't know what it's all about, but I saw a headline this week saying Trump was bringing back the Presidential Physical Fitness tests (or whatever it's called) in schools. I assume this is tied to that and the players are basically just ambassadors who will be in some ads such. I don't see the harm if that's the case.

Ha, go around and look at most kids these days and their out of shape butts need to be motivated and tested. My oldest daughter and son (two youngest aren't tested yet) both earned that presidential recognition this past school year in their testing. Amazing how few there really are that can perform and meet the metrics.

PE back in the 80's was awesome. Kick ball, dodgeball, flag football, newcomb, 4 square, archery, etc... I'm not even sure if half of those are allowed these days. Only thing that sucked was square dancing. Awful.

Damn. Your PE classes were complicated.

Fall: Flag football and soccer
Winter: Basketball or occasionally volley ball since we were indoors. (Soccer, on the basketball court, with a tennis ball...oh, that was fun.)
Spring: Baseball and softball

Kickball. Dodgeball, whatever the hell newcomb is (I do know,) four square...those were recess sports for me in elementary.

FWIW, I was referring to elementary school... Newcomb was probably my favorite of them all, either that or kickball. We did the more traditional volleyball later on in like 5th grade and on, but most of the kids sucked at it, so it wasn't fun. Sorta like baseketball, it wasn't until 6th that we had a decent amount of kids that could play (didn't have a gym to use in 5th). 6th also introduced wrestling, which was fun... at the time Vestavia had a really good wrestling program and I think they were just trying to groom us for that. LOL

I don't post a ton of preseason highlights, but here's one of Bryce throwing for a TD tonight. I'm expecting him to take another significant step this season...

I was watching the game . But it being in Carolina you would think? But the broadcaster were from Cleveland. I could take one more thing about Deion son! Watching the Loins vs Falcons game. Loins player had a very bad tracker.
