Bottom line it still comes down to blocking and tackling. We are not doing either very well. First drive was impressive. Mo has to be shifted back early in the third quarter.
Unfortunately, I kinda felt it might go this way… was hoping FSU would suck like last year, but looking over transfers they had… I kinda felt they’d could be good and I knew they’d want to prove themselves this year. I’m sure they focused on this game for a long time… ultimate trap game.
I think the years of greatness has made these kids expect to just win. Now with NIL I feel these “super stars” are just soft. Hoping I’m wrong and it turns around,.. but I’m not seeing fundamentals being executed well… it’s sloppy.
Unfortunately looks like a continuation of all the things that held back last season's team. This is where DeBoer will start to lose support from the fans. Consistent mistakes that aren't adjusted. Defense getting beat by the runs on the perimeter; penalties keeping drives alive; no accountability or leadership during games. Just a lot of off-season talk.
