Yeah but the issue is to become that kind of QB at Bama the bar is really high and it involves championships as a starter.
With that said, in the middle of the season, Simpson was dealing and was the hottest QB in the country. I think if he had not gotten dinged up and had a much better OL the season could have played out differently for Bama and Simpson. Could have been a great season instead of good/ok season.
There were some ridiculous reports during the draft that McVay wasn't onboard with the decision to draft him. LOL. I get fans making leaps, but I don't understand how "reporters" come up or believe some of this stuff.
And while I'm not a Rams fan by any stretch, I'm glad he went there. A great fit/situation for him... plus, I made a nice chunk (by my betting standards) on Kalshi for them selecting him.
