Previously, I've made my point on Amazon and their collusion with the Chinese to steal American ideas for products, and how Chinese production on the whole is bad for the United States. Despite all of that, my wife dutifully pays her Prime membership to buy sh!t and watch TV, and I have a non-Prime account that I'm tempted to use from time to time. Today, I was looking as some Leki hiking poles, and the Leki store is housed on Amazon. They are on sale for $86, so I swallow hard, avoid the REI site that has them for $120, and go to Amazon. $86, $20 shipping. I blanched at the shipping, so I have my wife look them up on her Prime membership. $120, free shipping.
You, and I through my wife, are getting hosed by Amazon.
