I have been listening to the ATL sports talk all week, and some TV shows, etc. I keep hearing how Alabama is not as experienced as LSU. I know they are probably talking about the QB, or a position here or there. But I keep hearing that LSU is more battle tested because they've played WV and Oregon. How about Alabama playing Penn State and Arkansas?
Then I thought about this. The Seniors on this team have played in 49 games (winning 44 of them), played in two SEC Championship Games, three bowl games including the BCSCG (3-2 in those games). The Juniors have gone 32-3 in their time at Alabama winning an SEC and National Title. The Seniors are 2-1 vs LSU, 4-0 vs Tennessee, 3-1 vs Florida, 4-0 vs Arkansas, 2-1 vs Auburn, 2-0 vs Penn State, they beat Texas, Michigan State, Clemson, and Virginia Tech.
I know the past experience doesn't dictate how they will play this year or in this game. But I still believe these guys are battle tested and will be ready. By the way these Juniors & Seniors account for 20 of the starting spots. The other two starters are AJ McCarron RSo and DT Jesse Williams (JUCO transfer).
