Justin Thomas put in a very good first round at the Open this morning at -3 with Jordan Spieth leading the pack at -5. Tomorrow promises what the Open does best, crappy weather and enough wind to get Dorothy to the land of Oz. And Justin, what is up with that outfit?

And Major Tournament record as well. No one had ever shot a 62 in a Major.

WOW just WOW!!!!

That was the guttiest back nine I have witnessed in a major. It looked bad after the 13th and Jordan was coughing up his spleen after that moon shot to the mountain top. Then with one shot behind, birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie, and some of those putts were from great distance. Jordan Spieth is something else.

Starting to look like American golfers are re-establishing the pecking order among the big 3 in this country. As of Sunday, I would say it would be Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, and Brooks Koepka. After the US Open win, Koepka is a strong dude who can look you in the eye and give as good as he gets. I like his game long term.
