Did we just find our new LT?

There was so much going on in that game that him replacing Jonah went pretty unnoticed. As an Alabama fan, that was a good thing!

I didn't get to watch him very closely but Tua seemed to have plenty of time to make his throws. To step in at that moment and make it work... Impressive.

Glad you brought that up stalker. I thought the same thing last night that we made that come back with our back up QB, back up left tackle and our back up running back. I think Alex did a great job and I think you can put him at left put Jonah back at right tackle (plays much better there), Moves Wills to left guard, Womack to right guard (where he needs to be) and I hear we have a good center in the pipeline too. This gives us a better oline going forward,

Alex played well though and it was largely not noticed by everyone that we were missing our starting left tackle.

I'm not sure what was going on with JW in the last few games, but he either has a glaring weakness that is being taken advantage of by the pass rusher or he has a tell that is making him get bet consistently. When AL came in the game, it was night and day the performance and effectiveness.

I'll also point out Womack was getting has ass handed to him also in the 1st half, but seemed to find his way in the 2nd half. Some of that may be the passing threat of Tua keeping the LB of UGA off balance... I'm sure it help some too.

I noticed this as soon as Jonah went down. I have waited and waited to see Leatherwood work his way into the rotation. I know there were reports of some bumps and bruises along the way, but I just felt you couldn't keep a prospect with his size and clout out of the mix. We had upwards of six True Freshmen on the field at times (Tua, Leatherwood, Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith, and Najee) in the 3rd, 4th, and overtime periods. Thought Irv was one, but see he's a Sophomore. If I'm missing any let me know, but six is remarkable for TRUE Freshmen to show up at the biggest moment on the biggest stage and win the game. Every single one of them provided us with the spark we needed to win. Each and every guy that touched the field produced.
