I never really looked into this kid but after watching his highlights I'm impressed with his mechanics and downfield throws. Very good release, good footwork, keeps his eyes down field...Can't wait too see him in action next year

I'm not gonna talk about Alec because I've never seen him play.

What I will tell you, Allen High is a HUGE school (its about 15 miles from where I live) - they are a single high school town - the city of Allen has a population of close to 100,000 people. What this means, he played QB for a school that had many many options to start at QB. They have 4,100 kids in 10th-12th grade if that gives you any data.

So if he's good enough to play at Allen, he's a pretty good QB.

I don't know a whole bunch about him, but I have seen mention of Alec probably being the second best QB on our roster.

Allen also put in something like $60 million into a brand new stadium that will hold about 18,000 people for the home side...That's insane for a high school..So yeah he must be pretty good QB as Allen, like us, holds a very high standard.

I haven't seen much of him either, other than some highlight reels and a few games on ESPN, but I'm impressed..Athletic, can stare down receivers and make some decisions before the snap (Which probably has been fixed with a redshirt year and sitting under McCarron). I'm ready too see him play now :icon_bounce:

After reading AJ's post on twitter earlier today, I feel even better about Alec and Cooper Bateman. These two will get the chance to learn from perhaps the best and most decorated QB in BAMA history.
