Albertville Tornado

It missed us by about 5 blocks. From what I've seen, the damage is about 2 miles long and 1/4 to 1/2 mile wide.

It went through the center of town where the largest trees were and most of the damage is from the trees landing on houses.

We went outside and could see the power lines and transformers lighting up the sky. Sounded like a freight train for sure.

Some pictures we took.

Glad it missed y'all. Five blocks is better than nothing. I live in B'ham and it sure missed us in favor of North Alabama. They're saying that it was a mile wide (I think I got that right) and stayed on the ground for 250 miles. Geeeezzzzzzz that's scary. And once I heard the proverbial freight train in the middle of the night and before I could wake up the family to go to the basement, it was gone. And I found out later that it WAS a tornado.
