Alabama running backKenyan Drake and defensive end Jarran Reed are "suspended but not kicked off the team" in light of their recent arrests, coach Nick Saban said Thursday at SEC Media Days.

"They're suspended from activity," Saban said. "When they prove that I think or we think that they're ready to come back and show a little bit more responsibility and discipline for how they handle themselves, their decision making, how they represent the university, their family and themselves, then we'll allow them to come back on the team.

"We're not making that judgment, you know, right now."

Perhaps, but Drake has a lot more to lose than does Reed. With Yeldon, Henry, Tenpenny, Fowler, and other new stars getting touches, finding himself in the doghouse - once again - is going to feel this, and with his hard head, maybe in his wallet if he decides to go pro after this season.
