🏈 Alabama's Derrick Henry Shows off New Car Causing Fans to Allege NCAA Violations

Greg McElroy drives a Range Rover and no one bats an eye.

ANY black player at Bama drives a new car and everyone screams "paying players". Yeah, because there are NO black parents who can afford a new car for their kid...

I REALLY hate to use this word, but man that is racist.

In my eyes, it just goes to show what a full scholarship, free room and board, free food, free clothes etc can do as far as disposable income. Us normal folks have to come up with tuition ($5000 a semester), room ($6000 a year), gas, food, books ($500-$1000 a semester), and plenty of other things. So $300-500 a month for a car when all your other stuff is paid for ain't hard to come by. Break it down so it'll make sense for the folks that can't grasp it. Could he be getting "help"? Sure, but don't be dumb enough to think it can't be legit either. It's definitely possible that his family can afford it.

@cjaytch, Greg's parents live in a $2m house in Westlake, TX - Vaquero Club (Tom Fazio course for the golfers here). Hoping you were being sarcastic with that comment above ;)

Oh yeah i absolutely believe Greg's family could buy him anything they want.

What I meant was, you never heard Barners, Corndogs, or anyone else question Greg driving a very pricey ride. Now we all knew what Greg's dad did for a living, but did they? Yet they see Henry and think "he cant afford that car cause his family must be poor". What makes them think that?

The other underlying implication is that they think young, black men can all be purchased with cars and suits.....
