I've had 5... Niffers (both locations many times), J&J Grocery (shoutout to @doemasters and @rammerjammer), Butch Cassidy's, Avenue Pub, and Bill-E's. Enjoyed them all.

I will have to say.....while it was good. The burger at Chez Fon-Fon was just that good. Not as amazing as most people make it, IMO.

I would say the best burger I have ever had is at The Neon Pig in Tupelo. It is a meat market that grinds their own burger. Legit!!

It's one I'll never have... Chez Fon-Fon seems way too uppity for me. Would they even let me wear my shorts and check scores on my phone at the table?

If you're ever either in Alabaster or Pelham, you should make the effort to get yourself a burger at either Chubbfathers (Alabaster) or at Tony's Hot Dogs (Pelham).

If I am remembering correctly they use a mixture of sirloin, ribeye and maybe filet. They smoke their own bacon and grind it into the meat as well. It is cooked on a griddle, but because of the smoke of the bacon, it has a chargrilled flavor to it.

In reference to Tony's in Pelham. I love their breakfast. I always get what I call the FBS (Fat Bastard Special). 2 eggs over easy, grits, bacon, and toast. FYI.....just south of Tony's on 31 is the Pelham diner. Very good breakfast as well.

I have a couple of lbs in the freezer that's sirloin, ribeye, and brisket they ground daily and "pre-package." I ask for ground sirloin regularly.

I have not been to Staggs Grocery in many years. I knew Billy, the owner that took over for his dad and know Lyn who took over for his daddy Billy. Lyn sold the store to a long time employee several years ago. My grandparents lived just a hop, skip and a jump from the store on Sweetwater Ave. Good folks! I have never had the chocolate gravy.

I can hang with the double but that's about it. Same with the Frosty's, been a while since I've had one from there, but back in the day, their double was about the size of a wagon wheel.
