Just speculating here, but from my experiences as a coach, the issue normally came down to meetings, likely him being late and/or shitty attitude in drills and then bitching about not getting on the field.

I don't think the door is completely closed, but there's a little more heavy-handedness being shown as of late, which is setting the tone going forward, IMO.
