I think this will be a great game. I have a bunch of friends who are also UT fans. I live in Nashville, but i plan to attend bama next year. Personally i have a always been a Vanderbuilt fan, but that has all changed in the past few months. Iv'e also got $50 on this game and would really appreciate a win.

Alabama 17

UT 13

If you don't mind me asking, what changed to spurn your interest in Alabama football? Also, welcome to our board. Post early and often...

i dont really know actually, i visited the campus and really liked it. Talked to some people about it, who said it may be one of the few large schools out there that still has a community feel. Also having a good business school bumped it up to #1. The reason i have become a football fan is Vanderbuilt sucks and i wanted to cheer for a good/or at least decent team for a change. Always been a Nick Saban fan, since he knocked UT out of the National Championship game, and the fact that Alabama is my #1 choice for college right now made me switch over to a bama fan

Good deal. If you end up going to school at UA you won't regret it. It is an exciting time to be at UA right now with all the new growth and revitalization around campus and the fact that the football program is back on the upswing.

Barring no injuries for either team, I will say what I said back when Saban was hired. As close as Shula was every single year to beating Tennessee, he was only able to do it once. I felt like Saban would beat the heck out of Tennessee every year because of the matchup of coaching philosophies. Having said that, I was skeptical going into last year's game, but it turned out I was right- we beat the heck of them! I am going to say...17 point victory. Something like, 37-20. Roll Tide.

I know you love your team just like I love my Vols but have you been huffing gas lol. We are a better than last year and we play at Neyland. I honestly think we win this game because we play at Neyland. Im not saying you wont win this year but you wont win by 17.

It's way too early to even try to predict the outcome of this game. Each team plays 7 games before they meet and there are 4,345 different scenarios (both good and bad) that could happen to either team. Predicting the outcome of this game now is virtually impossible.

There is another voice of reason around here. :D

You guys make me laugh on these early predictions. I think some football would help remedy this situation.

No, like I said, we win by 33. 47-14.

Hello ALL.....This is my first post here, but a long time lurker. I think we will beat Tenn, but it will be close!!! I married a diehard Tenn fan, and football season is interesting to say the least at our house. The good thing is that she and I both love COLLEGE football only, and really enjoy watching the games as well as predicting and "fighting" a little about the outcome of the third saturday in October. We actually had to move out wedding back by one weekend because of the Ala-Tenn game. I have a question to all my Alabama brothers out there.......Do you want to beat Auburn or Tenn more each year. I have several friends who are either Auburn fans or Auburn alumni, so I don't have the hatred towards them NEAR as much as I do Phillip Fulmer and the Vols. What's ya'lls feelings?

Just sitting here huffing gas... I guess that's what ya'll call it up there in Knoxville? Anyway, it's been done before. Watts in 2002 ring a bell? No one knows what the heck is gonna happen. But for God's sake, this was a prediction thread, so I made my prediction. I'm sure it will change at least a hundred times before the third Saturday in October.

Well I'd predicted Bama to win 27-17, but I can feel those neurons churning. Here it comes. Bama 37-17. Only 99 more to go.

Welcome aboard!

With me, I look at the UT game as a bigger rivalry than AU. I've always said "I hate losing to Auburn but LOVE it when we beat UT."

If that makes any sense...

I personally think that last year was Fulmer's last chance to beat Bama for a while.

I hope you are right. In the pre Phulmer years I had a grudging respect for UT and could not stand losing to the barn. Now, with that POS coaching them, I relish every win, and being able to rub their noses in it, as we did last year in T-town, made it extremely enjoyable.
