Hey guys, Im new to this site but just wanted to get your opinion on the game. I sure hope we can enact some revenge following last years game in Tuscaloosa. How do you guys think the game will turn out, I see it very close going either way?

Welcome to the site. We discussed this a ouple of weeks back with another Vol fan. I'll stick with my prediction from then.

Bama 27 UT 17.

Crompton may come out and just be awesome, but usually that's not the case with a new starter. a new starter at QB will usually cost you a game or two all by himself.

On paper, their front seven looks very, very good. Seniors across the board.

That is the biggest difference so far in the post Shula era. We now have the mindset that we are going to be in every game we play. We are not where we want to be yet talent wise or experinece wise, but we are close to having the right mindset to win football games. IMO we lost to Ga., LSU and Auburn largely because they were better, but we weren't mentally ready to do the little things that it took to beat FSU, MSU or LaMonroe.

I see Bama winning this game. They should be better than last year and UT doesn't look to be any better IMO.

I feel fairly confident that Bama will win this game, although I think it will be very close since it is in Neyland Stadium. That's a tough place to play.

Being from TN, most of my friends are Vols fans. I recently put a friendly $20 bet on this game with one of my really good friends. Obviously I chose BAMA and he chose UT, and a lot can happen between now and then with injuries and suspensions. But to go along with my confidence in my team, he is extremely confident with his pick as well...many of my friends who are Vols fans laugh in my face and tell me that "Bama is the last team that I am worried about this year".

I think Bama is in a perfect position to have a good season, especially if the rest of the SEC has the same attitude as my UT friends.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I have tickets to this game, and if so it will be my first ever UT vs. Bama game ever.

I think Tennessee will be a sleeper in the East. It will be interesting to see what will happen with Crompton. If he does well, Tennessee should be pretty good. As far as the Alabama game goes, I believe it could go either way. Like Bamafan615 said, a lot can happen between now and then. Georgia and Flordia need to watch out for Tenn. and South Carolina. I think Florida will be in the NC game before it is all said and done, but they have to get by those two and UGA to do it.

Tennesses schedule is very top heavy.........They could get off to a great start and ride that wave of mo to a championship caliber season :evil:



They also could do the exact opposite and have basically quit by the time Bama rolls in to town. 8)

It's way too early to even try to predict the outcome of this game. Each team plays 7 games before they meet and there are 4,345 different scenarios (both good and bad) that could happen to either team. Predicting the outcome of this game now is virtually impossible.

It will be a great game! Fulmer better win this game if he values his job. You can lose to Florida but losing to Bama is unacceptable at UT, just ask Johnny Majors.
