Contracts had ended every five years from 1991-2016 and had always been renewed for another five years. Contract ending in 2016 was renewed for 10 years in 2013. Contract ending in 2025 will be renewed. NBC is not letting ND get away.

You never know. Crazier things have happened. Who would have thought that CBS would give up the SEC (yes, they've had a bargain for too many years, but still)? With the right to only broadcast seven ND home games, even with an increase it will be cheaper than they paid for the SEC and keeps them in the discussion for college sports.
