šŸˆ alabama vs auburn

Briefly...

When we play teams it's a goal of our defensive coaching staff to force our opposition into a one-dimensional offense.

Auburn already is a one-dimensional offense.

IMO, a better question would be "will Alabama win the game by 27 points or more?"

I figure the spread will be in the 10-14 point range when the Iron Bowl takes place. I like us to cover the spread Terry, but will say we win by 21-24. So, "No, I don't think we win by 27 or more."

Got a lot of Auburn fans saying "We've never beaten a good Auburn team". The delusion is running deep down in the cow pastures now. I recommend anyone going to the game to watch out. Their butt hurt will be at an all time high after the game.

Yep...unless the entire team contracts the flu the day before....it really shouldn't even be close. Auburn will stick around for a short time....real short, and then it very well could get ugly for them. A one dimensional team cant be competitive. I say a 21 point margin is conservative.

i will be surprised if Auburn looks anything but terrible on offense.

defensively i could see them giving Alabama some trouble for the first half.

Bama wins decisively due to fatigue of opposition in the late 3rd and 4th quarters.

Auburn's offense, IMO, will show up. But so will ours. They will try to expose our secondary, but their strength is in the run.

I think it will be a 10-14 point game. I agree with jdpas29 that fatigue will set in. As we have seen with a few games this season (and last), opponents come into this games all jazzed up and pumped that they can and will beat the champs. They tire out quickly. Remember Ole Miss last year? I think they give us a good game for a quarter or two.

Marshall exposing our secondary? Hey, we're not the strongest on one corner but I'd take any of our players over Marshall's passing ability. There's a big reason why they've only attempted 15 passes over the last two games. It's a one dimensional offense.

Is their running game over-rated or just doing what they should against bad rushing defenses? Personally, I prefer the term over-valued.

The best rushing defense they've played this year is Mississippi State and they gained 120 yards winning by four. LSU is ranked at 51—213 yards.

The rest:

#71 Mississippi (282)
#75 Arkansas (233)
#85 Washington St. (295)
#89 Arkansas St. (301)
#95 Fla. Atlantic (422)
#104 Texas A&M (379)
#114 Tennessee (444)
FCS Western Carolina (511)

(H/T to RBR.)

Bama has faced four teams in the top 50 in rushing and allowed an average of 126 yards rushing. Arkansas is 25th and they scored how many against the Tide? Ole Miss and LSU rank 51st and 57th in rushing and Bama allowed? 89 yards—combined.

You can run to a football stat site to find where Bama's defense is ranked against the run. Believe you me, you won't have to scroll far (if at all) to see how good we've been.

As for me...that's enough of the game against RATPB for this week.

The realization is going to set in very quickly that nicky is no Cam 2.0. Not to mention, they haven't said a word about Georgia. They act like they have the next two weeks off to prep for the Iron Bowl.
