🏈 Alabama-Virginia Tech set for prime time on ABC

Seems to be pretty much a repeat of last season. A more highly rated ACC team will be the favorite to win. So far, I haven't read an article where 'Bama was actually predicted to pull this one out; same as last year.

Of course, the twist on this game is that VT is so much better than Clemson was last year it is not even comparable. VT will be ready for 'Bama, whereas Clemson supposedly was not ready for us, etc...

Ya know, last year I said I thought the Clemson game would come down to their OL. It a manner of speaking, it did considering the number of rushing yards their team had.

With this game, I'm wondering if Va. Tech can prepare for a run defense like ours. I mean that in so much as I can see this game being put squarely in the hands of their QB and making him move the ball through the air.

Therein, we have a question...are they going to be prepared to handle that?

Last year, their passing offense was ranked 111th out of 119 teams. Their running offense averaged about 50 more yards a game.

I'm seeing "sell out to stop the run" and let the cards fall where they may.

It's time that people realize that Bama is back. They're scared sh!tless and don't want to reconize the 12 time National Champs. *All I've heard lately is,Bama is goin to suck. **Bama won't even get past North Texas. And My favorite,***Bama is goin back to the cellar where they belong. Right under Vandy.

Screw the critics! It's time we beat some a$$ again! Show them all what football is. Virgina Tech will be the proving ground for all year. Beat them,Who knows,12-0 maybe. It's possible. Goin out on a limb here, but Florida is goin to be that great without all Tebow's weapons. Why be scared of somebody we were one quarter from beating?

My Theory is simple,Take down Tech,Move on down the line. The Crimson train will be rollin.Win the SEC against Florida win #13. Hopefuly get a shot at Notre Dame just for the hell of it!
Hahaha Y'all have a good day now.:no-no:

SCREW THE CRITICS WE ARE WHAT??? THE CRIMSON TIDE OF ALABAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROLL TIDE!!!!!!:a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a:

I had no idea that their passing offense was so inept last season, Terry. That makes the game plan a bit easier for Coach Saban and crew doesn't it?

Cullen Harper is gone isn't he? I wonder who their new QB will be?

This information makes me rest a bit easier because if there were one thing that Alabama's defense excelled at it was the run stop. They did good in many areas but, you know what I mean, they were #1 or 2 in the nation at stopping the run I believe.

Also, if you have the time, do you know how their offensive line looks this season? Do they have most of it coming back or is it kind of like 'Bama's?

Whoa now, Tidefan19, I haven't heard anyone say we wouldn't beat N. Texas.

As for all the other things, I understand your anger. But, thankfully, many of those cute little things our rivals said are not so prevalent now that Coach Saban has been here.

Yes, Harper is gone from Clemson.

They've got two kids that were battling it out in spring camp. Willy Korn, a really highly touted kid out of high school that did see some action last year and a kid that was 'shirted last season, Kyle Parker.

Dabo has some legitimate competition at the QB spot. But, with either kid, they've got talent under center.

You mean ol' "I love Southern Cal" Musberger? Lord, it was a sad day for college football when Keith Jackson retired...or semi-retired.

Don't forget Musberger had Clemson as the team he thought would be in the BCS Championship game last year.

So, based on his pre-season pick getting pummeled in their first game - you can understand a little of the "cheering" he seemingly was doing from the press box that Saturday night.
