🏈 Alabama versus Arkansas: Key Matchup.

I see nothing wrong with being confident and do not consider what Cody said to be talking smack. Arkansas fans or whoever can try and twist and turn it into whatever they want....

Yeah, CtrlAltieDel, that was a bit of an unwarranted (not to mention unintelligent) thought.

Oh boy, here we go with the personal attacks. Let's try to be adults, Outlaw. I may not have a bunch of AuNeck friends like you do, but I am still a good person and try to be civil and nice.

If BamaDelta and I aren't allowed to have a slight, yet respectful, disagreement on a particular subject, you just let me know.

I will stop communicating with her if you are going to lay down the law and go into attack mode.

LOL. Wow. You took that the wrong way. You probably took that the worst way possible. Personal attack? Negative. Attack on a comment which was out of left field, and pretty ridiculous? You bet. AuNeck friends? If that is saying that I have Auburn friends, then yes I do. Quite a few of them. I also have LSU fans as friends, and Mississippi State fans as friends, and Ole Miss, and Notre Dame, and Oklahoma...What does that have to do with anything?

But, on topic, I do think that TC is the real deal, and I do believe he will prove it. I'm not crowning him after three games, though.

As I remember correctly, LT got fired from his broadcasting position the day after he made those comments. That was during the Miami - Florida Internation brawl, no?

Yes, I know L. Thomas was fired. I used him and his antics as an analogy. Terrence Cody was not smack talking, he was just talking and being a human being.

By mentioning one of the kings of smack talk, on and off the field, I was demonstrating what smack talk really was. BamaDelta seemed upset that T. Cody was smack talking and how horrible it was. I informed her that he wasn't smack talking and there was nothing terrible about it.

As far as the rest of your comment, it was not very intelligent.

Of course it wasn't, KC. 98 percent of Arkansas fans don't think it was smack talking either.

Terrence Cody was only speaking his mind. He didn't taunt anyone or anything, he didn't shout out any challenges, he didn't lay down the gauntlet and say there is no way Arkansas can beat 'Bama, nothing like that.

Some just like to blow things up and seize on any perceived aberration that is not 100% politically correct. It is a disappointment. Football is becoming, like everything else, homogenized and feminized.

For being one who preaches out against blowing things up, you tend to take things the wrong way and to an extreme. Delta just commented that she didn't like when athletes talked before a game and that she wasn't going to say that TC was all that and a side order of ribs. She made no mention of RO, and for you to use that as a comparison to TC is a very elementary argument, I think.

But, I guess I am inferior because I have Auburn friends. And due to that, I will exit stage left.

BamaDelta's exact quote:

"Yep, I really wish these kids wouldn't talk smack...especially before the game. Just let your play on the field do the talking. I'm really surprised Saban is giving him such a long leash with the media."

Listen, Outlaw, I don't mind that all your closest confidants are AuNecks. What business is that of mine?

I am just a poster that responds to other posters; I don't really relish getting into an argument on a message board. I see someone say something about some hardcore smack talking and how Coach Saban shouldn't allow it. I responded because I didn't believe that was correct.

I am almost 100 percent certain that both of us seem like petulant children at this point and this whole thing is becoming Scout-like in it's stupidity.

Talk to you about another subject on another day. Take care.
