As I sit here celebrating this win over UT a thought came to mind. I am comfortable, I am at ease with what is going on at the University of Alabama, I am not worried about our situation when it comes to things "relative" to Alabama football.

I will tell you all this, Coach Nick Saban and his coaching staff has changed this programs attitude. Earned their pay checks, if you will. The team, the Fans, the opponents approach, and most importantly the unity we all have is now evident. In a short season and a half, Yes thats right, 1 season and 8 games Bama has changed everything including the medias attitude towards us.. Sure, I am speaking the obvious, but is this for real? Some one pinch me.

I am so proud of this team and their accomplishments this year. Yeah 8-0 helps, but the fact remains, after all the turmoil and mediocracy, we are now dealing with championship quality built teams, upper level talent, and a zest for dominating the other team.

Nothing soothes my soul more than seeing this happen. Beating UT in Knoxville is a tall order for any team, regardless of their record. I have a tremendous amount of respect for their program, but I ain't gonna lie, watching Coach Fulmer lose is pure poetry for me. I don't pretend to know the ends and outs of all that Albert Means stuff, but if Fulmer had any part in making Our University look bad, then this is karma at its best.

The one thing time does is heal all wounds. It also pays dividends when it comes to pay back. We all know what pay back is.... Auburn and your 6 fingers you best be getting ready, Bama has a score to settle with you, and its coming. Flame me for looking ahead, but its coming, Soon.

Roll Tide All!!!

Nice post Kirk! I know living in Memphis, this win is especially sweet for you!

How's this for irony?

Auburn loses their next two SEC games and then loses when they make the trip to Tuscaloosa.

Alabama fans, after the post-game cheer, are seen holding 7 fingers in the air?

While the media wonders why, all that follow the SEC realize that loss marks the 7th loss in the 2008 season for a team favored to win the West and compete for the NC but will find itself at home in the bowl season.

Something to make you even more happy, is our team is mainly comprised of freshman/sophmores. And by the looks of this years recruiting class its only gonna get better (=.

Talk about the best case scenario, I couldn't even dream that up...

Making it even more enjoyable, at least to me, is that Coach Saban is doing it without sacrificing Bama's traditional identity. Run the ball & play crushing, suffocating Defense.....the way we always have. CNS was the prefect fit at Bama.........at the perfect time.

Great post.

I hope the Tide pounds the Barn this year, and we need to make up for 6 years of pain.

2002 10
2003 5
2004 8
2005 10
2006 7
2007 7

So if my math is correct we need a 47+ point victory and a Rammer Jammer so loud Denny Chimes rings from the vibration! :D

Kirk, you and I are together on this one. :) I just might be a little more nervous than you until it actually unfolds.
