When you can go out nationally and recruit who you want, cost will add up. All of these kids that come in on officials are coming on our dime. Eddie Vanderdoes came in last weekend as the "lone" official from Northern California. We sent Coach Rumph out there earlier in the week to have an in home. Cha ching, cha ching!
In the previous years, the staffs looked at all of the in state kids with a few outside guys thrown in to the mix. Shula's last season was probably mostly spent on trying to get Tebow here and him alone. Just look at the return that the University has gotten in return for the $900 K investment on recruiting!

That's the key here. Our rivals and other schools that envy BAMA might try to spin this in other ways, but if they're being honest with themselves they'll see this $900,000 spent on recruiting as an investment that has paid for itself and much, much more.
