Aubie's sent home in day one.

I watched the last 2 or 3 innings. They had to bring an ambulance onto the field to haul off some SC gal who got hurt sliding back into 1st base (and spiking the auburn first baseman in the head while doing so). They acted like she was dead, and maybe she was, but I think she was just really embarrassed about the awful slide.

Looked like helmet to helmet contact between her and the barner 1st baseman..... could have been targeting, hopefully she's o.k., but the barn getting ousted in game 1 was (y)

What happen? I couldn't watch an y games so far?
As in most obstruction plays the LSU runner intentionally ran into the SC fielder after an overthrow at second base on an attempted steal. Runner never stopped at third knowing she would be ruled safe even if thrown out. She was thrown out and was ruled safe. Ironic part is that there was more of a case of calling interference by the batter causing the overthrow than there was for calling obstruction.

I am not sure if I am reading too much into this or not but I was a little concerned not seeing any All SEC Freshman from Bama listed. Can one of you that follows the softball program closer than I help me out?
There are five. They've got a lot of production from Kat Grill and Bailey Dowling this season. Haney has only played in a few games and it's about the same with Jaala Torrence (maybe pitched 10-12 times this season?) Alex Salter hasn't played.

It's a deep roster with the six returning for their extra season.

Dowling would have easily made the list if she hadn't had the season ending knee injury right after SEC play started. But overall, the team is vet heavy, helped by several coming back for the extra Covid year (thanks Bill Battle).
