All vaccines carry some risk. And, while I don't think the mRNA vaccines are a gov't attempt to make us all into zombie slaves - I do think there are too many (for me) unanswered questions about possible side effects of using this relatively new delivery method.
Personally, I fall into a couple of high-risk categories and wanted an option I felt more comfortable with. So, I went with the J&J last week. It does not use the mRNA delivery, but rather an adenovirus approach. So far, so good with no apparent side-effects. Apparently, if I get past 28 days after the injection, the odds of me dying or being hospitalized from CORONA virus are very, very low. I'll risk the zombie thing for now and will let y'all know if I develop a taste for sweetbreads...
Open question to those opposed to mRNA vaccines. How do you feel about the Johnson and Johnson vaccine?
I don't like any of these options. I used to be a person that went with the flow of society, but still a hard nosed guy that dug in on his beliefs. My wife has changed my thinking a lot over the last number of years, and by simply reading the Bible and abiding by the words in there, I have changed my tune to vaccinations for the most part as well as healthy living. "Oh, a little Burger King ain't gonna hurt", was the line of thinking I had, until you do the research and statistics on the food and health we consume these days and it opens your eyes to just all of the toxins and garbage we put into our body and in our lives. That's not saying I'm the perfect eater, but I have limited my fast foods and working on eating healthier and it's amazing how much better I feel. I do my best to limit my Coke intake, rarely drink alcohol anymore, and it's amazing how I feel better once I eat well compared to a week where I don't. I get maybe four good hours of sleep a night, and with a full time job, two side jobs, and four kids, I don't think I could make it if I lived like complete crap. All of that being said, if we all cleaned up our diets and got off the fucking meds, our body's could fight things like this and it wouldn't be as harsh on us. All of these medications, foods, and other items we put into our bodies genetically morph us into things we have never seen before. The statistics of medication and the increase with health issues doesn't just seem like a coincidence to me, and it falls right in line with the poor dieting in this country and the decreased exercise we all receive.
I had the virus back in late December, early January, and I didn't even know I had it until I couldn't taste or smell. Five months later I still haven't fully gotten my taste back and can probably smell about 10% as good as I used to. No medicine, no vaccination, no rest, nothing. I understand it can hit the same type person two different ways, but this is what I experienced. As others have mentioned here before anyone wants to criticize me, my stepmomma was given a 20% chance to live when she had it, was in the hospital two weeks and made it out, and my dad was laid up in bed for two weeks as well, had a cousin die from blood clots caused by it and his health wasn't great to start with due to a motorcycle injury from years back, and it still doesn't change my mind on the vaccine or our health in general.
In the end, if we just took care of the bodies the Lord gave us and put good food in our system, go out and get a little sunlight, exercise a little, I don't think you need these vaccinations. Especially ones rushed through trials and ones that are having adverse affects on people, maternity, and other issues. Just my two cents though, everyone can make their own decisions, but if people wonder why I emotionally can detach myself, it's because we all make decisions and those decisions are what we unfortunately have to live with. Having a choice though is my stance on this. Don't force it on me and I won't force my thoughts on you. I'm glad to know you haven't experienced any concerning issues with your shots and I hope it gets you through all of this unharmed! Roll Tide my friend.
