Crimson Tide guard Trevor Releford scores game and season-high 20 points in victory

"Put in Jarrett Lee."

It is a sign of our talent level upgrade. We were nowhere near as sharp as we were saturday night at Georgia. At times we were really sloppy with our ball handling. There were even a couple of times where it looked like our decision with the ball had Sports Center'S Top 10 in mind rather than giving our guy the best chance to score. Yet once we got about 10 minutes into the game we were firmly in control, with there being no doubt that we would win comfortably. It looks like Green is getting close to 100%.

Important road game Saturday at M$U, and we follow with Vandy in T-town and a road trip to Lexington.

Here is something in the category of things I never thought I would say. While Kentucky's first six players are a very talented bunch, we are a deeper basketball team than they are. I'm not saying we will win at Lexington, but if it comes down to fatigue and attrition we do have an edge.

Agreed. I do think we've got a real good chance to pull that one out in a close one. UT still has some talent on that roster as demonstrated when they knocked off UF at the beginning of conference play.

My thought right now is we end up as a 12-4 or 11-5 record in conference play.

I think we have a great shot at MSU Saturday. They are the same team they were a year ago plus Hood. Although Bost is well publicized as a point guard, he is more of a two than a point. We should be able to turn them over a good bit with our pressure.

I'm not sure why they are still letting Renardo Sidney hang around. He is a huge body, but as slow as molasses.

I do not get to see bb games unless ESPN is carrying the game. The games I have been able to see, I have been very impressed with the job coach Grant and his staff have done with the Bama bb program. Coach Grant has done a remarkable job by stressing defense and adapting the offensive end to the particular team and talent he has. This is the first year that Bama does not have to keep the tempo at a snail's pace because he has depth on the bench. Looking forwar to even bigger and better things in the future with this program.
