The view from inside Alabama's last two-a-day of the season.

After the first day off of August, Alabama was back on the field Monday morning for the first of two practices.

They'll be back in the evening for the final two-a-day of the preseason. Here's a look at what we saw:

-- Dalvin Tomlinson, who Nick Saban said injured his ankle in Saturday's scrimmage, was not practicing with the defensive line.

-- Da'Shawn Hand was practicing in a full-contact jersey after Saban said he missed the scrimmage with an injury.

-- And Bo Scarbrough was back working first at running back after Saban said he got "dinged up" in Saturday's scrimmage.

-- Alphonse Taylor continues to work at second-team right guard behind Bradley Bozeman.

-- Outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi stepped in to demonstrate hand placement working with Tim Williams on the sled at one point.

-- Advisor Joe Pendry was out there watching the offensive line, a group he coached at Alabama until 2010. Read more about Pendry's role.

-- Players were in full pads for the morning session and will go in shells this evening.

-- The temperature was as comfortable as it gets for August, hitting the low 80s for Round 1.
