Two of my boys went down to watch the team at the Andretti track last night, about eight or ten miles from my house. The place was overrun with Bama fans. They said Allen and JK Scott were pretty cool, most of the players didn't mix with the fans.

Don't think that the players were being rude to the fans. These events are set up for the players to enjoy themselves and get away from the game and fans. It's not intended to be a meet-and-greet.

As soon as I saw that tweet, I wondered if they'd gone to the Andretti Experience...lol

Mortgage lender I used to work for before the economy crash had regional offices in ATL We went there one night years ago during regional meetings for entertainment. My big 6'8" as folded up into one of those go-carts had everybody in stitches.

Is there an itinerary out there showing where our guys will be? Always wondered how you know when they are returning on a flight, back to the hotel, etc like all these videos I have seen on YouTube.

There must be something out there. The local news last night reported that the boys were visiting a local children's hospital today.

That is tomorrow. My grandson played most of the season with a dislocated shoulder and underwent surgery there today. He will be one of the patients visited. My daughter, a UofA School of Nursing grad, is an administrative nurse with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and got it arranged.

"On Wednesday, the teams will visit patients at Scottish Rite and Egleston children’s hospitals and will tour the College Football Hall of Fame. That will end the Peach Bowl’s lineup of activities for the players."

Link details all of the week's activities.

Bigger stage and higher stakes for Peach Bowl this time

You also have to know that's the life they chose. Trust me, they absolutely love the publicity and exposure they get to the media and the fans. After all, that's why they came to Alabama. As much as they post on Facebook and Instagram, they love the attention, otherwise they wouldn't post every second of their life on the internet and go dark.

Based on experience, these events are not meet-the-fans events. Yes, I know that the players like to sign autographs and be adored by the fans, but that's not the purpose of these events.

I'm not saying they were, but they were in public blowing off steam and letting loose, not like Atlanta shuts down for a football team. They wouldn't be out in public if it were a reflection period or team building exercise. Of course it doesn't mean it's Fan Day either.

Definitely not a reflection time. Bowl trips are part fun and part business (more business than fun with Saban). For these events, players get on the bus, go to the venue, participate in the activity, get back on the bus, go back to the hotel. They may have some free time after that until the established curfew.

They must be running out of things to do in Atlanta to make it all they way out to Marietta...
