Easily the most anticipated Alabama-Tennessee meeting in years has a fast-moving point spread Sunday afternoon.
The No. 1 Crimson Tide opened as an 8-point favorite for the 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday game in Knoxville. The lines quickly moved to make Alabama a 10-point favorite after early betting, according to VegasInsider.com.
Alabama (6-0, 3-0) has won nine straight games over the traditional rival to the north.
No. 9 Tennessee (5-1, 2-1) was unbeaten until another wild Saturday. Texas A&M ended the Vols' unbeaten run with a 45-38 double-overtime win in College Station. The eighth-ranked Aggies will come to Bryant-Denny Stadium after a bye week on Oct. 21.
Last year's Alabama win over Tennessee was the closest game in this rivalry since surviving the 12-10 "Rocky Block" in 2009. The Vols took a late lead with 5:49 left. Alabama responded with an 8-play, 71-yard drive capped by Derrick Henry with 2:24 left. The 19-14 win was Alabama's closest in SEC play.
