🏈 Alabama OLB Ryan Anderson on Tosh Lupoi

RA7

well both

I'm sold on Tosh. I was before he arrived in Tuscaloosa. While Lance was good on the recruiting trail (players, no mom jokes please) bringing in Tosh to cover the OLB'ers was an upgrade, in my opinion.

As to Anderson one thing that bothered me during the playoffs last year was him being pointed to with the plays he gave up and nary a mention he was playing with a bum shoulder ... basically with one arm.

I believe we'll see how good Tosh is coaching these kids. Heck, right now we've got Evans playing both OLB positions and seeing time at SAM as well. He brought the talent and to me he's getting the coaching.

i always thought with the length that Anderson has he would have had great production, we did se some flashes of it but just not consistently

I was initially impressed with his raw strength. I remember seeing him flat back DJ Fluker in drills. I figured if he could do that to DJ then some other mofos were in trouble.
Last chance to prove me right RA.

I thought Anderson played well. I think it was the A&M game where he had a lot of disruptive plays. He's powerful but needs to be more consistent.

Agreed, I've remember mostly liking what I saw from him and Pettway last year. Like you and others said, it's all about if they can be more consistent this year. The front seven as whole has the potential to be downright scary this year. I'm more excited to see how they play than any one individual.

You meant front 14, right?

I watched Lupoi coaching 8-14 year olds at one of Saban's camps in June. The dude is intense!! If he is as intense with our guys as he was with those kids, HOLY SHIT!! Safe to say, he was a HUGE upgrade from Thompson!!
