I have a bad feeling that, since seeing that Georgia's rivals site has posted the "funeral" video, there are gonna be some nasty emotions out of the gate Saturday night. I think whoever is able to control that early will eventually win the game. Alabama cannot afford any 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. This {"funeral" video+ black out+Saban can't beat ranked teams on the road+Richt always blows a game every year} crap has got me anxious. I am so freakin pumped for Saturday night! ^^POP

Check out the little write up. How sad.

How the heck does anyone understand what he is saying. I've watched the video about 3 times, and I have yet to hear him say it, or at least understand that is what he is saying.

OH PLEASE!!!!

They are reaching for everything they can find to get the emotional level up for their contingent with this game.

Now, they are drawing a comparison like this?!?!

In the wake of legendary broadcaster Larry Munson's surprise mid-season retirement due to health concerns, Cochran's funeral comments could not have come at a worse time.

Give me a *&%$@& %$C@*$&*^$ break!!!

That's a bit of a reach...you think!? Maybe UGA is not as good as what I give them credit for if they have to use these cheap motivational tools to get prepared to play us? I smaell fear and it's not in the shade of Crimson either.

Spot on...these gimmicks are needed for their mentality (good or bad).

Whoever wrote it didn't have the 'nads to put his name on it. Why? B/C he knew he'd be the laughing stock of the Rivals community.

Then, in yet another stretch, he put this out there...

As to keeping it quiet, well it is too late for that as the video of his comments is all over the web.

That's a reference to Coach Cochran saying, "Now, keep it low, keep it low."

He was talking about the stretching drill, not the funeral comment.

If UGA's coaches and players are as concerned with all this stuff (jersey colors, funeral comments, etc.) as their fans are, they are going to find themselves in the midst of a mudhole Saturday night.

I don't think the players get caught up too much in the material as do the fans. Now campus police may want to be on their toes Saturday night but I feel confident that the players will keep it clean between the white lines. Emotion only lasts for a few plays then it comes down to who has the best players and who is the best prepared. We are raw as far as best players but no question we will be the best prepared.

Porter, who was it that approached Coach Richt Saturday night about wearing those jersey's?

Just sayin'...

Which is what caused me to change my pick to a BAMA victory.

With Tidecast Sunday I was saying UGA...with this, and then hearing what is going on with the team, I've changed mine as well.

Normally, I don't feel a lot of emotion going into games. Not nervous, not overly excited, not anxious...none of those.

Today, based on just the past 48 hours, my adrenaline is starting to rush like a heart will after 4 cappuccino's first thing in the AM.

After seeing all this unfold, I'm starting to wonder if I should change my pick to Bama too. I'd be pretty worried if Bama's senior players went to Coach Saban to change the uniform. Not where the mind needs to be Jawja.

Pregame emotions are overrated. if Alabama marches down the field for a score or two all of those meotions are long gone.

If JPW doesnt throw the ball away those emotions dont mean a thing.

In other words, doing the same things you would do against Arkansas will get you a win in Athens. The blackout is for the fans and I suspect the stadium will be loud no matter what happens.

Phew! I thought I was the only one.

Am I the only blackout fan?

Then again, I am a uni freak...

I know, I wish we could do a black-out. JK!!

Seriously though if Alabama ever were to do anything like this you know the fans (most if not all of us) would think it's the coolest thing ever. It cracks me up that our fans are making fun of theirs, yet we'd be doing the exact same thing.

Like others have said once the ball gets kicked it's all the same whether in black or red. Even as superstitious as I can be I know that. :D
