| FTBL Alabama is The Best Team In The SEC

It's too early to say who is the best in the SEC(W) at this point. But, as of week 3, until someone has a more impressive showing on the national stage, as we did Aug. 30th, I'd give it to Bama in the west. In two weeks we will find what this team is made of. Next week will be telling aswell. They have got to come to play and be very physical from the beginning. Can't take any weeks off. I haven't seen LSU play so I don't know too much about them. Auburn has been less than impressive. These next weeks will seperate the contenders, and the teams filled with hype. In the east, I think Florida is by far the most talented. But they've got to line up and run the ball with Tebow, or perfect their passing game before the SEC schedule, or their in trouble IMO.

Right, weezybaby. No one really knows if 'Bama will fizzle out this year as we have in years past. They very well could, it is certainly possible.

I have no idea if 'Bama will win the West, as no one else does.

What I am really saying is that, at this point, 'Bama is the best in the SEC on the record books.

If the season were to end at this very moment and no other SEC games were to be played, who would you rank, nationally, as the best SEC team? I know we may not be ranked the highest in a purely SEC ranking because we haven't played any SEC teams.

I would pick 'Bama even if I weren't a 'Bama fan because that would just be the honest thing to do.

It sort of shows a flaw with the polls when all these other SEC teams are ranked above Alabama when they haven't proved as much or been as impressive as Alabama has.

Right, I understand that many of you are deathly afraid of looking foolish among your AuNeck friends or co-workers or even posters who may come here.

To many, it is more important to seem aloof and detached from 'Bama than to be a rabid supporter, that way your AuNeck buddies will think you are really intelligent. To some of you, to be called an irrational 'Bama fan is a grave insult and you become embarrassed among the more cultured, educated and wise AuNeck fanbase.

It is all about appearances; I understand that is how many 'Bama fans are.

But, the thing is, I am not predicting Alabama to win anything this season. I am not saying they will win a NC or win the SEC. I am not saying we will beat the AuNecks.

I am merely saying that at the point in time, Alabama is the best team in the SEC as far as proving that on a field of play.

I don't know what the big controversy is.

I think LSU is the best team in the SEC. We beat a overranked Clemson, skimmed by Tulane, and thumped a WKU team that we should've beaten. LSU hasn't struggled against anybody as of yet.

Vandy better than UGA?? IMHO I don't think they're close. On the field UGA smashes Vandy.

I agree with you but would would put UF above LSU and until we beat Auburn would stick them ahead of us or at least tied.

I think this post realizes how much we look at the scoreboard during the game when in fact it only matters when the game is over...that's it.

We are not better at this point in time than LSU, Florida, or GA...sorry to burst your bubble. I'll eat crow if we win the SEC championship....but I just don't see it happening.

I'm happy your being so up beat Cid, but remember we haven't played any SEC teams yet, so (IMO) we can't be the best. I'm just as big a fan as you if not bigger (HELL I'm in California and still yelling RTR). I really hope we do go to the SECCG, but I would rather beat the hogs and focus on the dawgs. Then to proclam how good we are without playing anyone yet, that's all.

LSU hasn't played and SEC team either so we have no clue how good they really are. They've looked good so far but thats pretty easy to do against teams like North Texas.

Alabama earned national respect versus Clemson is IMO "the correct phase" ! Auburns lying low to sneak up on LSU obviously. If not Franklin better get his unemployment application ready :roll:


Alabama will likely either upset the dawgs or hurt Moreno. He is a hard tough runner but so is Ingram. :twisted:
