šŸˆ Alabama is a Big 12 team

Another thing that most don't think about is that this style of play is not good for the kids. The more plays you are out there the more tired you become and the greater the chance for injury because you don't use good technique. It was obvious that both defenses were gassed by the 3rd quarter and were losing their technique. And think about the long term. When the kids are out there for 100 plays in every game their bodies are wearing out, which cuts their adult career short, assuming they make the NFL. The human body was not designed to handle that much stress and wear. I say not only is it hard to watch, it's not healthy.

Points allowed through first 3 weeks:
Florida - 100
LSU - 96
Bama - 91

Who would have ever thought that? 3 teams that are usually dominant on the defensive side.
I think the no spring ball and limited fall camp has had a pretty big toll on the defensive side of the ball for all teams. I have not watched one game where I didn’t see really sloppy play.

It is what it is... as the season goes on I’m hoping for improvement.

My take from watching...extremely exasperating, our guys are looking to the sideline for their cues and meanwhile Ole Piss is lined up and snapping rhe ball. I know keys are important but good grief, simplify and turn these thoroughbreds loose and let them bust heads.

I just wish we would have called at least one time out on a 4th down conversation attempt.

And who did you want replaced back then? Jim Goostree? Sam Bailey? Pat Dye? Ken Donahue? Dude Hennessey? John David Crow? Or, Coach Bryant?

The downfall of that period was on the shoulders of Coach Bryant. He failed to recruit at the same level in the past and perhaps he had more going on other than Alabama Football.

Nick made a huge mistake when he promoted Tosh once Pruitt left. I understand Tosh was a top level recruiter but we've been losing ground on defense since Pruitt left town.

Colonel Meyers: . What's your assessment of this defense?

Highway: It's a cluster fuck.
