Alabama currently fields the top team in college football. The talent level, on both sides of the football, is a major reason for that success and recognition.

Joe Marino, a draft analyst for The Draft Network, released his most recent mock draft on Monday, and the Crimson Tide had a whopping seven players included in the first round.

Here is what Marino had to say about a few of those first-round picks:

1. Cincinnati Bengals – Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
If the Bengals win the No. 1 overall pick sweepstakes, securing the quarterback of the future has to be the priority. In Tua, head coach Zac Taylor would get “his guy” to build the offense around and Andy Dalton can be released after the season for a savings of $16 million. Tua’s accuracy and quick decision-making skills are perfect for Taylor’s scheme.
5. Miami Dolphins – Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
With Herbert as the new direction at quarterback, there is no time like the present to bring his go-to guy into the mix. Jeudy is a dynamic route runner with tremendous ball skills that makes him a perfect fit to be the focal point of an NFL passing game with the potential to be one of the most prolific receivers in the league.
15. Cleveland Browns – Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama
Cleveland has been aggressive to build up the overall talent on the roster but it has come at the expense of the offensive line. With so many dynamic offensive weapons and an exciting young quarterback in Baker Mayfield, John Dorsey has to get serious about fortifying things up front to not waste them. Leatherwood is thriving at left tackle for Alabama and has the goods to do the same for the Browns.
In addition to the three players above, Marino also has..
17. Dallas Cowboys – Trevon Diggs, CB
20. Oakland Raiders – Henry Ruggs III, WR
21. Baltimore Ravens – Dylan Moses, LB
27. Seattle Seahawks – Jedrick Wills, OT

It should be noted that if Alabama has seven players selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, it would break the Miami Hurricanes’ record of most first-round picks in a single draft (6) set back in 2004.
