šŸ“” Alabama gets the 124th win as they close out this decade of college football, the Crimson Tide ties Penn for the most wins ever in a decade in CFB

Awesome....I remember when bama won 100 in a decade in 60s or 70s....
And was a hugh deal.
I wonder how many games i haveseen bama win in my life....in person and/or on tv..
Have seen every game since the msu game n 2004 or 2005....( one wasn’t televised in Tennessee....because Tennessee was being televised at same time)

I don't think you get the commonly held definition of a decade... :geek:

It's the third digit of the calendar year it's based upon (assuming you're not one who lives under the Julian calendar.) 😈
When was year zero. Just start there.
Technically the decade can be any 10 years and that makes the common thought 2020 starts the next decade but it doesn't make it so.

I've been on this ol' earth for almost five of them and hadn't realized it was an arguable point of beginning. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

@50+yeartidefan, it's been a crazy month helping a friend out with a renovation of his new home along with work, class, and life ... but I have put in some time working on a "get around" for your browser issue on displaying multiple quotes. I know you really don't care but this involves some significant work in some .json script so I'm working as slowly and carefully as a one armed man operating a bandsaw.

OR ... you could just get rid of that damn iPhone.

If there was a year zero then you are ok. year 1 through 10 is the first decade.:p FWIW I really don't care. I like to argue with anybody that will argue back. Happy New Year

Historians have never included a year zero. This means that between, for example, 1 January 500 BC and 1 January AD 500, there are 999 years: 500 years BC, and 499 years AD preceding 500. In common usage anno Domini 1 is preceded by the year 1 BC, without an intervening year zero.

@RollllTide!, meh ... bet you're a flat-earther as well.

I don't care either and if it wasn't for my blowing the day off completely this probably wouldn't even be of interest.

Hand to God...always taught the decade started with the change of the third digit and I'm thinking that was taught in elementary. I have no idea when I learned of the Julian and Gregorian calendars and their differences.
