šŸˆ Alabama Freshman QB Jalen Milroe pushing weight

Wow, that's big time weight to just be throwing off his shoulders with each rep. I knew in his high school tape he looked a lot like Hurts from a muscular/physical standpoint. That's exciting. I know he has a cannon arm too.

He’s a true dual threat QB with 4.6 speed but he’s only one of three scholarship QB’s. So, I can’t imagine a scenario of him being used on special teams.
He looks faster than 4.6 to me, simply coasting in the secondary letting his blocks set up, but his burst to get through the line on this play was impressive. I agree we don't have an abundance of QBs, so that could limit his play, but he is a playmaker.

He's Jalen 2.0 but better.

This. Faster, better arm, and better passer at the same stage.

In the off-season workouts/speed work Jalen has been working with the specialists: not your traditional QB routine.

Apparently one of the fastest guys on the team. He is going to be a handful for defenses if development continues...

Now, If he can get playbook figured out.. and does well in fall camp, I wouldn't be shocked to see him as #2 on depth chart come Fall camp. I wouldn't be shocked to see him play in 4 games to get his feet wet and then next year spend lot of time in mop up games to take over for Bryce Young.

Got a 5* from Tennessee coming in...maybe Arch too?
Going to be ( is) some serious competition at QB....

They could develop a short yardage/4th down/goal line package for Milroe as well with his physical traits (big and strong, very fast). They had Slade Bolden doing it before as a Wildcat QB. Milroe would be far superior in this role, as just as they didn't want Mac Jones running those plays, Bryce may not be the best either since he's small and why subject him to hard hits when you have a Milroe?

Maturity, intelligence, & leadership ability... Jalen was a 9.9/10 in those areas. That was every bit a part of Jalen's success as the physical tools.

We'll see how Milroe handles himself under adversity! Physically, he's damn impressive.

He reminds me of Michael Vick with the way he runs, not saying he's as fast or shifty, but he seems to run only at the speed he needs. Like he seems to be going one speed and guys might catch him and suddenly he's leaving others in the dust.
